Rental Agreement

A valid driver's license, credit card and signed waiver required with all rentals.

The full rental fee will be paid at the time of pickup with the deposit being refunded at the time of the return of the rental item.

Have fun, but please don't abuse our rentals because you are accountable for any damage to the equipment!

I accept for use ‘as is’ the bicycle and accept full responsibility for the care of the equipment while in my possession. I authorize Social Cycles to place the applicable credit hold on my credit card account until the rental equipment is returned.

I will be responsible for the replacement, at full retail value, and equipment rented not returned to Social Cycles. I also agree to replace, for full retail value, any equipment damaged while in my possession.

I agree to return all rental equipment, by the agreed time, to the agreed location, to avoid additional late fee charges of one day's rental amount for every day late.

 I understand that helmets are required and I agree to wear one at all times while using the rental equipment.

There is a 72-hour cancellation policy in effect for our bicycle rentals. Rentals cancelled with less than 72 hours’ notice will be charged 1 day rental rate.  Any cancellation of a day rental will be subject to a $30 admin fee.

Given that I may be sharing the road with automobile traffic, I understand that I must obey all applicable traffic laws.

I understand that cycling is a physically demanding activity and I affirm to my knowledge that I have no physical condition which may be aggravated by cycling. I will not operate this bicycle while under the influence of alcohol or any mind-altering drugs.

 I agree not to make any mechanical changes to the bicycle rented. I will not attempt repairs or removal of bike parts held by screws or nuts. Saddles and pedals are exempt.  Minor adjustments are permitted (such as seat handlebars etc). Repairs needed are to be done by Social Cycles only.

I understand that I will be responsible for full payment of the bicycle rental regardless of whether I ride/use the equipment rented. Equipment used for other than its intended use may result in damage fees that will be applied at the time of return.

In the event you have a collision or accident causing damages, no matter if third parties or third parties properties are involved or not; must be reported immediately to Social Cycles.

We advise storing the bicycle (s) overnight in your room or apartment.

Above conditions apply and are in effect during the duration of the rental.

I affirm that I am at least 18 years of age OR I am a Parent/Guardian of the minor that I am renting the bicycle for and I am assuming full responsibility of usage and release of liability.
